Self-love

Image
I don't know who needs to hear this, but you matter. I know for a fact that sometimes we literally trip over our low self-esteem and our confidence levels are not that high, but we do matter. "If you had a friend that was very close to you, would you talk to her the way that you talk to yourself?" I came across that question last year, and i honestly wished that i have read it sooner, and i wanted other people to think about this question too. When we are young, with no experience in life, we perceive ourselves as 'normal', but when we hear comments like "You smile in a weird way" , "You are so underweight i thought you were a kid" , or "your nose is too big" , we start to belittle ourselves, we start to feel insecure, and we stop perceiving ourselves as normal and instead we start noticing every single flaw in ourselves. One comment after another, we start to believe those statements and our minds use them as a limit to our actions w...

Read this if you are single.

Image
I know you have read things like 'it's okay to be single' and this particular sentence *in my humble opinion* makes being single look like a disease, why is that? because when we say it's okay to be something, normally this something is not natural or weird or a minority of people have it or do it or whatever this something is. Dude to be single is not weird at all, when we are born we are single, if we stay single for a long time that is okay, you determine how long is a 'long time'. It is better to be single than to go into a relationship while being unsure if you are ready or if you partner is ready. The one thing that i have noticed is that once you stop looking for a relationship and for that perfect person who is going to be your significant other, this person pops up into your life. Sometimes tinder and the dating apps actually succeed in helping you meet someone who is actually willing to be in a relationship but this is not always the case. Just live yo...

How to learn a new language.

Image
Learning a language can be a fast process if you are persistent and dedicated. Here are some few tips to make learning a language not that hard. 1) Language learning websites and apps. There are free websites and apps that are available for everyone. I used an app called Duolingo to learn German and Portuguese and i am still using it. The fun thing about language learning apps is that they depend on gamification , so you have a score just like a game and you don't feel like you are in a class. Language apps like duolingo offer you the ability to learn using questions and missing words. You maintain a 'streak' if you practice everyday and you earn 'lingots' when finishing a skill or lesson which you can use later to purchase from the shop, i know i am not the best at explaining this but you can literally try it for free. 2) Listen to music in your desired language. We all love music and we memorize the lyrics of some songs by heart. You can listen to more than one so...

Time-off

Image
I know that sometimes we can get really busy. We need to meet deadlines, submit assignments, practice some sports, and meet with friends, how are we supposed to fit all of this in 24 hours? we start to feel anxious and nervous when we feel that time is rapidly passing by.  Between all the life events that occur, between all the deadlines and hard work, we have to remember to 'recharge'. Our body gets exhausted and so does our souls. You can do a lot of things to help you feel more relaxed and as a result you start being more productive. 1) Meditate. I know that this simple practice might not be everyone's cup of tea, but to be honest it should be. The calmness that you feel during meditation relaxes you physically and mentally, literally you can take 10 mins of your precious time in the morning and meditate, and you will notice that you are more relaxed and in a good mood during the day. 2) Take a walk. A walk in the fresh air can definitely help you change your mood in gen...

7 tips that would help you create a habit.

Image
How many times have you read titles about 'the habits of successful people? Can you really develop a new habit? Isn't this something you are used to for a very long time? Well yes, you can form a habit or even get rid of one, and here we are going to show you how you can include a new habit into your routine. And if you learn how to form a habit and make it stick to your routine, you can then implement the habits of the successful people in your routine too! 1) Be willing. The first thing you need to have is will power. I don't ever think that anyone can reach anything without it, and if you want to change something in routine it can be uncomfortable so the only thing that will keep you going is your will for change. 2) Pick the habits that you want to implement. This can be as simple as wanting to wake up early in the morning or wanting to exercise once you wake up, and you can search for habits that are actually useful. Identify those actions that you want to be consisten...
